Breakfast & after school clubs - contact us

At Mini Code Breakers we have a desire to implement our classes into extra-curricular activities whether it be breakfast or after school clubs. We are dedicated to support and provide opportunities for children who might not have access to such classes outside of school time.

Therefore, our ambition is to use our knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to impact schools through problem solving and critical thinking skills. This foundation of knowledge will enable children to create programs of their own in a fun, safe and inspiring environment.

It is also known that computing is an essential skill for all children to learn and an important part of the curriculum. We support aspects of the National Curriculum for both KS1 & KS2 delivering fun and engaging classes. At KS1, focusing on key concepts, debugging (finding and removing errors) and allowing children to recognise common uses of information technology, giving them experience to use common software in the wider world, beyond school. All of which, creating the perfect platform to begin a child's digital journey.

At KS2, we provide opportunities to design, write and debug programs that solve problems, driving the determination to succeed and approach problems in a structured way. We use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; working with variables and operators enhancing individual progress through cross curricular areas. Opportunities to design and code own stories or games encourages our students to accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems. This also enhances the ability to solve problems by decomposing these problems into smaller, easier sections to make critical thinking more manageable and achievable.

Above all, our classes are fun, inspiring, engaging and we cannot wait to get started!
